Thursday, November 5, 2009 – Mobile Electronics magazine presented its 2008 – 2009 Industry Awards at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, and announced the winners of the Dealer Choice awards for best manufacturer programs and service in a range of categories, the Retailer of the Year awards in the single-store, 2 – 3 store and 4 – plus store categories and the Installer of the Year award.
The Retailer of the Year awards were given based on an extensive process that involved industry nominations and voting to determine the retailer finalists and then the judging of materials submitted by the retailer finalists. For 2008 – 2009, the retailer of the Year Finalists, 2 – 3 Stores were: Columbus Car Audio, Columbus, Ohio; Ken’s Car Tunes, Mobile Ala.; Sound of Tri-State, Claymont, Del.; Soundz Good Stereo, Oxnard, Cal.; Ultimate Audio, Orlando, Fla.
Sound of Tri-State is the recognized high-end mobile electronics leader in the Tri-State area. The locally-owned electronic retail stores, provide a vast array of products for mobile audio and video electronics, performance, security, navigation, home audio and home theater products. Sound of Tri-State opened its first store in 1990, in Claymont, Delaware. In its 19 years of business, Sound of Tri-State added two additional locations in Wilmington and Dover. Today, Sound of Tri-State employs 32 full-time people at the three retail locations. Experienced staff is one of the key factors that set Sound of Tri-State apart from the competitors. Sound of Tri-State is greatly honored to be named Mobile Electronics Retailer of the Year.
