Townsend Fire Co. Auxiliary slates chicken-and-dumpling dinner
TOWNSEND – The Townsend Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will have a chicken-and-dumpling dinner from 4:30 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010. Menu is: chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, peas, coleslaw, rolls, coffee, iced tea and assorted desserts. Cost is $10 for ages 11 and oler, $5 for children ages 5 to 10, free for children and under.
For further information, call the firehouse at 378-8111. Take-outs are available. Pre-orders are not available.

Townsend Fire Co. Auxiliary announces sub sale
TOWNSEND – The Townsend Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will have a sub sale from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010. Choices are regular, turkey or tuna. The cost is $7 per foot-long sub, delivered, or $6 per foot-long sub picked up at the firehouse. Salads also are available -- choice of Chef's salad, chicken or tuna. Salads, also, are $7 delivered or $6 each picked up at the firehouse. Delivery is available for orders over $10.
Pre-orders are preferred. For pre-orders and more information, call Elsie Poore, 378-8430; Marie Gonce, 378-4655; or the firehouse at 378-8111.

Townsend Fire Co. invites all to Breakfast with Santa
TOWNSEND – The Townsend Volunteer Fire Co. will serve silver-dollar pancakes, pigs in a blanket, French toast, scrambled eggs, scrapple, toast, coffee, orange juice and milk at their Breakfast with Santa in their firehouse at 107 Main St., 8-10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. Adults (all over 13) pay $6, kids 4-12 pay $4 and infanst/children 3 and under are free for breakfast. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available 8:30-10 a.m. (bring your own camera). Stop by Santa’s Workshop, the perfect place for children to purchase gifts for Mom and Dad, brothers, sisters, friends, teachers, even the family pet. All fgifts are $2 each and will be gift-wrapped free. proceeds will benefit the fire company. For more information, call Joey, 378-8111.
