If they can clear streets in other towns it should be done here. God forbid if there is a serious emergency!!
Someone should have been clearing each street a number of times to prevent having to NOW try and move HUGE amounts of snow and ice at one time. I shoveled my drive several times today (Saturday) so that I would not have to move huge amounts at one time. Yes it was tiring, but I will not be like a lot of folks who are literally buried. My driveway is clear so I am going to enjoy the Super Bowl tomorrow. The city of Harrington should have thought about that a few days ago and had personnel camped out at the yard ready to start plowing when the snow reached a few inches, and walla, in several passes over the snow fall period, the streets would be passable. It is common since. THIS is the way I would have ordered the operation. There would have been one or two personnel working one shift working full tilt boogie, one in each plow. There would be one or two personnel working the night shift doing the same thing. This storm was predicted for days and a street clearing plan should have been implemented.
This city needs a new management team. I'm applying. It's time for the old paradigm regime, good ol boys and gals, "this is the way we have done things for 50 years" folks to move on and let new blood in. New blood with new and better ideas to run things.
